Our Mission

We serve the Beaufort community by working to empower all God’s people on their journey to
self-sufficiency by serving as a vital conduit between community service organizations and
volunteers.

Our Work

We offer free office space and meeting space for partner organizations who meet needs in our area. For example, we are partnered with Lowcountry Legal Volunteers, whose main offices are in Bluffton. We provide them with free office space, allowing them to open a satellite location at Lowcountry Outreach. This allows them to better serve those in northern Beaufort County, as well as better draw from local volunteers. You can read about our partner organizations here.

We also offer a rideshare program. After talking with the service organizations in our area, we recognized that one of the greatest unmet needs is transportation. Services are often available, but many people do not have the transportation they need to make use of these resources. Our free, volunteer-driven Angel Rides program helps connect people to the services they need. You can read more about the program here.

Our Story

Saint Peter’s Catholic Church strives to be “a light for Beaufort,” making a difference to all in our area. As part of this dream, the parish began a capital campaign in 2020 to raise the funds to buy the office building next door and make it into an outreach center. In 2023, the parish purchased and renovated the property, and we officially opened Lowcountry Outreach.

  • 2020 – Creation of Steering Committee to assess gaps in service and recommend development strategies.
