Angel Rides Program
Powered by Volunteers. Driven by Compassion.
Established in August 2022, the Angel Rides Program provides transportation for St Peter’s parishioners to Mass, church‑sponsored events, and essential medical appointments. What began as a small ministry quickly grew in response to a critical community need.
In November 2022, Angel Rides formed a partnership with Good Neighbor Medical Clinic (GNMC). Since the inception of this collaboration, more than 800 one‑way rides have been provided for parishioners and GNMC patients combined. These rides—delivered by a compassionate team of volunteer drivers—have improved patient appointment attendance and contributed to better health outcomes across the Beaufort community.
Through the generosity of donors and the dedication of volunteer drivers, Angel Rides has also provided transportation to clients of Lowcountry Legal Volunteers and to a member of The Parish Church of St. Helena, reflecting how collaboration and shared support strengthen our community.
By addressing transportation as a critical social determinant of health, Angel Rides removes barriers to care and essential services. Donor support sustains this program by funding the annual ride‑coordination software, and a program coordinator who ensures schedules are managed, and volunteers are supported. Together, donors and volunteers transform compassion into action—helping neighbors arrive safely, on time, and with dignity.
