Spiritual Direction
What is Spiritual Direction?
Spiritual direction is “a relationship through which we come to better know, love and follow Christ through the help of a spiritual coach.” (Dan Burke, Navigating the Interior Life). Many factors influence our relationship with God: our life experiences; our prayer life; our struggles with sin; our psychological and emotional wounds; our thinking; our attitudes; and what we do and what we neglect to do. Spiritual direction helps a directee sort through these to gain objectivity about themselves and therefore properly discern God’s will.
Trained Spiritual Directors are available by appointment through St. Peter’s Catholic Church at the Lowcountry Outreach Center. They are sanctioned by the Diocese of Charleston.

Caring Ear or Open Prayer
Life is often challenging. Feel free to reach out to us if you just need a caring ear (someone) to talk to and discuss these challenges and discern how the Holy Spirit is leading you at this time.
Open Prayer is also available at the Lowcountry Outreach Center on most Thursdays from 11 AM to 1 PM on a walk-in basis. You can also contact Anna Sudomerski (office@stpetersbeaufort.org) if you are interested in scheduling Open Prayer outside of these available times.

Healing Prayer
Healing Prayer through a listening, loving, and prayerful way provides the opportunity to receive specific prayers for any physical, mental and/or spiritual illness a person may be experiencing. A small team of prayer ministers meet with you and offer prayers of healing by calling on the Holy Spirit to be with us and provide specific healing upon the person receiving prayer.
Healing Prayer is available through the St. Peter’s Catholic Church after the 9 AM and 11 AM Masses on most Sundays in the Heritage Room next to the Narthex of church. You can also contact Anna Sudomerski (office@stpetersbeaufort.org) if you are interested in scheduling Healing Prayer outside of these available times.
